Instagram is a photosharing app that allows users to edit and post photos and share them with friends and family.
HOW TO SIGN UP TO INSTAGRAM:
The Instagram app is available for free to download to apple and android devices. Once the app is downloaded, users can sign up and create their account.
WHO CAN USE INSTAGRAM?
Instagram is available for anyone to download, however, Insstagram’s TERMS OF SERVICE state users must be at least 13 years old.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOLLOWING AND FOLLOWERS?
Following: when you are following someone on Instagram their content appears in your newsfeed, and you appear on their followers list.
Followers: people who are following you, your content appears on their newsfeed. If your account is on private, other users will need to ask your permission to follow you and see your content. You can remove users from your followers list and block them from accessing your profile from their account.
PRIVACY ON INSTAGRAM:
When you first sign up, anyone can view your profile on Instagram or the Instagram website. If you do not wish to share your profile, you can set your photos to private and your photos will be visible only to those users you’ve allowed to follow you. Some profile information is not visible to anyone but you. This includes your email address, phone number, gender and birthday.
You can make your posts private on Instagram but not your profile. Even after being set to private, your profile remains public and other users can search for you on Instagram and see your profile photo, username and bio.If your profile is not set to private other users will also be able to see you posts. The bio section allows users t share some information about themselves in a maximum of ten lines. It is important to consider what you place in your Instagram bio as it is accessible to all Instagram users.
